Kisling, Moïse
(1891-1953)
   French painter, of Polish origin. Born in Krakow, Poland, he studied at the Academy of Fine Art there and later went to Paris. He exhibited at the Salon d'Automne, Salon des Independents and the Salon des Tuileries. He was on the list of painters condemned by the Nazis. He fled to Portugal and then to New York. He worked for the Four Arts Association, collecting art supplies for families of artists living in France. After the war he returned to France.
